The Meridian

A living archive of antiques, books, and historical objects.

What it is

A personal digital reliquary.

A curated, research-backed catalogue of antiques and historical items. Each entry is documented with provenance, condition, valuation notes and reference material.

The site is the public face of an extensive private Notion database, and it exists to show how a careful schema, a considered visual language and editorial writing turn a personal collection into something genuinely useful.

The visual language

Oxblood and cream, borrowed from leather-bound archives. The palette is doing work: it signals age and care before a single entry is read.

How it is built
01

Full provenance

A curated catalogue of antiques, books and historical objects, each documented to the same standard.

02

Schema-driven design

Every field justified and consistent across entries.

03

A deliberate visual language

Oxblood and cream, inspired by leather-bound archives.

04

A refined rebuild

Replaces the earlier Reliquary at the-reliquary.pages.dev.

05

Notion-backed pipeline

Published to Cloudflare Pages from the database that holds the collection.

Credit where it is due

Curation, schema and copy are mine. The site code is not.

It was written by Perplexity, Claude Opus 4.7 and Claude Sonnet 4.6 under direction. Saying so is the point: the interesting work here was deciding what a collection entry should contain, not typing the markup.

Live

The archive is public and growing. Browse the collection as it stands today.
